Trump/Hitler/Lee Kuan Yew

Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come. In the current crossroads and thresholds of World Affairs, Trump has adeptly caught on to the zeitgeist of this Idea whose time is here, now!

The execution of this Idea, however, dictates that Trump has to be tough, harsh and even ruthless to keep America at the top. In pursuing this goal, the blunt measures Trump has to undertake from the experience of the history of the western world generates fears that Trump may be a Hitler.

But, from the mosaic of experience from the history of a miraculously successful South-East Asian Nation can point Trump to be a Lee Kuan Yew.

Despite Lee's abusive style, many of the highest accomplished and acclaimed Statesmen (women included) of the western world paid glowing tributes to Lee's achievements.

The best and most powerful compliment came from Margaret Thatcher who said of Lee and I quote, "He was never wrong".

There are gems of lessons for Trump to pick from Lee, if he is to take the rough and hard road to make America great and deal effectively with the Chinese

Otherwise, Trump will stumble and humiliate himself like he did on the abortion issue, but on a much larger scale and on an international stage that may trigger very nasty and unnecessary conflicts.
